Case Knife Countertop Display - 1975 - Info Needed

Post by TheSkyisCrying »

Hi,
New member here. My late father-in-law was an avid Case Knife collector. I picked out a few knives for me to keep and helping the family liquidate the remainder.

He was given this display at some point in the 1980-2000 range. It has a 1975 date on it. The rest is self-explanatory (I think!)

Does anyone have any idea what this is worth?

Thanks so much for the information.

Hello,
First! Welcome to AAPK! I have a very similar display. I would say your display without any knives would be valued around $250 to $400. That's just a rough guess if that helps any. Just like anything else collectible, it depends on the condition of the item and the current market. Don

Welcome to AAPK. That looks like a Case No. 14 display. I have one like it that I bought about 15 years ago for $175. They’ve probably increased in value since then. $250 is probably good but IMHO $400 is unrealistic. Check eBay sold listings to see what they’ve sold for - they come up for sale there occasionally.

Edit - well I was wrong. The same display, no knives, sold at auction on eBay in December 2020 for $470. ::woot::
