Help with Remington Logo

This is the first time I have seen this logo. Can anyone help me date it ? Explain it ??

OK . I read the links and they were VERY interesting. I then did research on Sherwin-Williams LOGOs and found they used this one between 1919-26... Look at the paint can logo. does seem to fit nicely with the link provided although it is a bit earlier than the tang stamp on my knife.
Still not conclusive . BUT ......
