Monthly AAPK Knife Giveaway Sign-Up Thread

This was tossed around some time back about having members step forward and donate a knife for the AAPK monthly giveaway. It seems to be hit or miss if we are going to have a knife drawing each month or not. Since the last discussion ended in nothing being done, I thought we should iron out the details in this thread.

I propose we use this thread as a virtual sign up sheet for members who are willing to donate a knife for the drawing.

For example, I will donate another knife in October of this year. If someone else will donate in July, August, etc. their name will be posted here and the month they want to donate a knife. Bryan can set up the official drawing each month using the current number pick system now in place. The person donating the knife can handle the shipping of the knife to the winner.

We only need 12 generous members a year out of the 9000+ current members to get this done!

Do I understand you to mean that you would like to donate a sheath like the one in your picture that would go to the winner of the April 2019 giveaway which is the Queen barlow with walnut covers and D2 steel that Leeramundo (Stanley) donated? Please clarify for me.

Thank you for taking the time to open this posting. I currently have confirmed donors for the March and April AAPK Knife giveaway’s with confirmations underway for the May and June giveaways. I am seeking donors for July 2021 and beyond, however the process of adding donors to the list has been approved by Bryan for a minor change.

If you’d like to be a future monthly knife giveaway donor, please email me your images and your description of the knife you intend to donate. Along with your images and description, please provide me in that same email your full name, address, telephone number and email address so that contact can be made if necessary. Once I am in full receipt of the above, you will be added to the list for the next available month which will continue to be published in this thread.

I will send out a simple monthly PM to all future donors leading-up to the giveaway start to confirm your continued willingness to donate. I look forward to seeing just how deep into your collections you can go to meet the huge appetite of our monthly knife giveaway participants!

Scott! I'm the guy who currently runs the AAPK monthly knife giveaway and I do appreciate your willingness to step-right-up and become a knife donor. I have donors lined-up through August so for the near-term, I'm all set. Why don't you pull-up a chair and get to know us a little bit. I'll keep you on my list of future monthly donors unless you are driven to secure a donors spot now.
