Help Identifying Pocket Knife Marked N.P. ?

I loaned out my collector's guide, so that left me with the "inter-web" and no luck so far. Anyone have an idea as to the maker and age of this knife? It seems very familiar....

The steel pin suggests it is of German manufacture probably no earlier than the 1930's .The stamp isn't familiar to me.

I don’t believe the blade is original to the frame. The pin was originally nickel silver and was changed when the new blade was installed. Not sure what to make of the tang stamp.

I found a German company named Nippe & Plumacher that made knives. I have seen a tang stamp for them yet. I am still looking.

I also found a Newport Cutlery Company, but again no tang stamps so far.
