Lockback attempt

Post by Brent »

I have provided a few pics of my attempt at a lockback. I made a slight mistake on the lever and will finish it tomorrow. I will show the finished knife tomorrow if it works like a lockback. any advice is appreciated.

looks good so far! remember that it only takes a little bit of "removing" to remove too much.....go slow with the final fit up of the lock.....

Here is the finished product. The blade is tight when locked. The part i am not happy with is the blade in the closed position. The blade doesn't wobble when closed but just isn't tight enough. It is usuable and functional though.

thanks Dale. You deffinately learn as you attempt. I know what i would pay more attention to now. I got some more blades and some are for lockbacks. I will deffinately try again. I ordered some titanium and will use that for my next spring. Brent
