Well, I finally broke down and did it. I have admired PJ Ernest knives for quite some time. I saw this fixed knife come up for auction and just had to bid on it. It is a most welcome addition. This is a big, heavy, and rugged knife. From the description: This Custom fixed blade knife is made of Lawrence Donnelly Mosaic Damascus Steel from end to end. The bolsters are made of Deer Mountain Forge Damascus. The blade and bolsters were heat treated to bring out the color and Damascus pattern. The handles are Mammoth Tooth with pre ban Elephant Ivory. Filework is included along the top of the blade. The knife is 9 1/8 inches long with the blade having a 4 1/2 inch cutting edge. Came in the mail earlier today. I'd say it is a keeper!
