I too am from Middle Tennessee and just getting back in knife collecting after a brief time in the 80s. Got into card collecting in '89 and am now thinking that was a mistake. Wish I would have stayed with knives!!
Right now I seem to be drawn to Case and Schatt & Morgan. Hope one day to be able to purchase Canal Street and Queen Cutlery.
