Mike, unless I'm sadly mistaken, he seems to be missing his head. Would you happen to know anything about that?

Jerry, I keep a snake tool and a hoe in the back of my Ranger. His head got "hoed" off.

Mike that’s great work on those snake hides. And I want you to know, I’m not covetous a bit. I’m glad for you to have them all!

Yes they are pretty,they taste good till ya put a ruffled grouse on the table...about 4lbs.As you know they are from china we buy chicks and raise them in pens for sport.

I’m in the same boat as TF. We don’t have pheasants and the grouse don’t start around here until three or four counties east. But I’d surely love to hunt them both. I miss quail hunting.

Our pups keep 'em on their toes when Miss Joy puts them out for their evening walk. Then the deer come right back.

I bet they do! There’s just something about the sent of of a deer that’s hard for a dog to resist. We have to break just about every one of our beagle hounds from running them.

I don’t have any cameras out yet, but when the does come in the back field to bed down the dogs let us know.

She might be the better fisher but seems that you made the best catch.

That is a good flounder, and one of the best eating and tastiest fish in the ocean.

Thought I would share these 3 pictures that were extra good. The time of day probably is responsible for the extra clear pictures. The fawns are still being born in our part of the world as the rut doesn't begin in earnest until the middle of January. Bucks are still chasing does when the season go out at the end of February.
I think the mommy is the 1st picture, the 2nd is last years fawn and the spotted one was born a few weeks ago. I see them on camera at the feeder all the time and of course there are other does with twin fawns showing up. Double click to see more detail.

This deer is much heavier than the deer in the 2nd picture.

Based on the pictures for the last few weeks, this is a big yearling belong to the doe in the 1st picture.

Most of the time the does seem to have twins. This baby is always with the 2 in the above pictures.

I enjoy the trail cameras as much as I do the actual hunting time, it can go on year round. The only problem with the pictures is that don't eat very well.
