The Muskrat is in the style of the "Hawbaker" Muskrat. It's the Wharncliffe blade that does it.dlr110 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 01, 2021 6:51 pm Yesterday after Church the wife and I stayed in Denton because we had to go right back to church at 4 PM to start setting up for our Fall Festival. Good looking Queen brother!dlr110 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 01, 2021 11:02 pmPhil I'm hoping someone will tell me about. There is no pattern # on it, but it looks like the typical muskrat main blade and the second one is a Wharncliffe....treefarmer wrote: ↑Mon Nov 01, 2021 8:31 pm That Queen City is an interesting pattern. Is it some sort of muskrat?

Re: KNIFE FINDS OF THE DAY
Found some knives and fossils at the flea market today. Geo Schrade wire jack , Camillus Scout and a nice bone handled Boker fish knife. The red looking rock I think is petrified wood, the enameled tooth on left is from a Mastadon and large white molar on the right is Mammoth. And a set of Craftsman pins.

Very interesting assortment there, Knifegnome!! You had a good day.knifegnome wrote: ↑Sat Nov 06, 2021 7:59 pm Found some knives and fossils at the flea market today. I am just back from a knife show, as usual, no rhyme or reason to my purchases. Here is my assortment of pickups. I spent the money I had on me, and traded some knives I had taken, in case It became necessary. The Farriers knife made it necessary. I will post more pictures after I play with them for a while.

DE on the left and Schrade on the right, the candy stripe is a Henry Sears, unfortunately, no Wabash! I now ask whenever I go to a show, one of these days, I will find one and be asking for your address.edge213 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 06, 2021 9:06 pmWaukonda wrote: ↑Sat Nov 06, 2021 8:47 pmVery interesting assortment there, Knifegnome!! I don't know either. I have heard it was for scoring bread, but it is apparently it is used by pasty chefs for "delicate adornments". It's been around for many, many years in the catalog.

Thanks for the information Cody. I thought they were probably some type of pruning knife. I never would have thought used for pastries.cody6268 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 06, 2021 9:52 pmI don't know either.
