Re: Case xx
What kind of knife is that? I've never seen that stamp before and I can't find it on the tang chart. I'm sure someone that knows much more than me will come along and let you know.

This is the kind of knife that the tang stamp in the OP is on. I don't see anything unusual about the stamp.

I think the Mini Blackhorn is one of the only (if not the only) Case model without a date code or a tangstamp that changes with the decade. I believe it is because it's such an inexpensive knife ($15 or under most places; mine was $10), Case does this to keep the costs down.

I may be wrong here and if so I hope Steve reads this and comments. I think due to the selling price that at least not all of the 059L's are not made in house at Bradford, though some may be. This pattern covers the Nascar, and other collectable series and then also the bottom end of the rung on the knife scale made by Case with the black synthetic handles. I have seen the blister packs that say distributed by W.R. Case & sons and not made by W.R. Case & Sons - slight distinction.. They do say made in the USA, are warranted and I assume that maybe Case has contracted some of the assembly to other agencies? Also while looking for a picture to post of this knife I found this that says the 059L is made in the USA with domestic & imported material. Is that information on any other pattern than the 059 L ?
