Schrade "Plus" stainless blades

Does anyone know what year Schrade began to add the "plus" sign to the tang stamps of their stainless steel blades?

It definitely occurred after 1973. Here is the stamp of my 885UH, which from the serial number A6280 was made in either 1974 or '75.

Uncle Henrys always had stainless steel. Sometime between 1975 and 1980 seems likely for the "+" stamping.

Thanks, Jeff. That gets us closer. Some Uncle Henry fixed blades did not have stainless steel. By the way, many folk do not understand that stainless cutlery steel is ALSO 'high carbon' steel.

Yes... I never thought about the Uncle Henrys that were actually stamped "STAINLESS" on their blades.
SO.....

Maybe about the time that "WALDEN" was dropped from the tang stamps? Recon that was the time the "+" was added to indicate stainless...????

The Schrade Walden stamp ended in 1973, while the Schrade + stamp did not start for at least a few more years. Best guess for the Schrade + stamp, at least on Uncle Henrys, is 1977-'79.
