Did Case make a stag handle slimline trapper during the tested era ?? There is one on ebay now--My computer is on the blink so can't post it on AAPK....

I don't see one listed in any of the reference books I have. Appears they were handled with yellow composition, bone and later with Delrin.
There are always exceptions. ::shrug::

No, the 048 was not made in stag.

Nothing against tennessee of kentucky but it seems like the closer you get to lets say Knoxville the more counterfeits you see.

Patina seems a little fake, stag looks like it was done in the 80's or 90's, pins seem wrong, blade shape doesn't look like a Tested era blade even though the stamp appears dark.
