Need help with Case knife information and values

Post by surplusstuff »

I bought a box of knives at an auction. 19 were Case knives. I have identified the year for 16 of the knives but I need help with 3.

2013

1990's

1920-1940

Others may be able to narrow down the second two. ::welcome:: to AAPK!

Thanks for identifying the years.
Where do I go to determine values for Case knives?

Your best source for current values is an advanced search of eBay for sold listings of the knife you have. Limiting your search to sold listings only lets you see what the item actually sold for, not what sellers are asking. Search for the pattern number (stamped on a blade) and age of your knife. Judge the condition of your knife versus the sold knife and adjust accordingly. With a few exceptions the age is relevant only within a few years - value of a 1972 knife and a 1976 knife are likely about the same.

You can learn more about your individual knives by clicking on Research in the header at the top of this page. There is info there about determining the age, pattern, etc.

Thanks, Greg. I thought the "•" next to USA was a "®" on my phone.
