Which magazines between Blade, Knife World & Knives Illustrated would be most beneficial for collectors just getting back in to the hobby as well as beginners?
Thanks,
Mark

Re: Magazines
Definitely Knife World, but most of the knife discussions and publishing have moved online to sites like this one (AAPK), http://knifeforums.com and http://www.bladeforums.com.

Re: Magazines
I agree that Knife World is the best of any publication in regards to Pocket knives of all kinds. Plus they stock tons of older knife books that are hard to find anywhere else.
I don't know if Mark (the Editor) is still offering this but you used to be able to get a Free Sample so that you could check it out. Shoot them an email and ask them if they can send you one.. www.knifeworld.com
Good Luck.

Re: Magazines
I like Knife World too. It looks like a newspaper and always has lots of interesting articles. The other magazines have too much tactical stuff for my taste.

Re: Magazines
Here's how I think it breaks down: Knife World covers antique, modern, and custom knives and is tailored more towards the collector. Blade and Knives Illustrated cover modern knives and custom knives a lot more than antique knives. Only once in a blue moon do they have in-depth articles about antique knives. Those two publications are better if you want to make knives, since many of the articles areabout how knives are made. Personally, I prefer Knife World over the others. Hope this helps.

Re: Magazines
Thanks for the replies guys. I was hoping to find an actual "magazine" instead of having to read it on the web. Sounds like Knife World is the one for me.
