Also I hope it is what you wanted if not let me know I will make it right

Thanks, Tom. Unfortunately, Mini-T Monkey subsists exclusively on a steady diet of 07s (fresh or vintage, he's not picky about age, just condition).

Today, The Monkey is feasting on this delectable 107W that was modified by BIGHEAD (Barry) with Natural Jade G-10 covers and some fabulous fancy filework to add a dash of razzle-dazzle.
I think it goes without saying that The Monkey is over the moon with joy.![]()

A shout out to Kevin (knifeaddict1965) for providing the "canvas" for Barry to create this gorgeous piece of one-of-a-kind cutlery art.![]()
This is how it looked BEFORE

Here's the exact same knife AFTER getting the BIGHEAD treatment:

Wow Q, that is one sweet knife. Congrats. Bighead did fabulous work and love the G10 in that color. Excellent, A+.
8507W Pictures I have (actual knife in my collection...not yet), but I can't say I've ever seen or even heard of an 8107W (was that a typo, perhaps, or do you know something I don't?Modern Slip Joints wrote: ↑Tue Jul 19, 2022 3:27 am However, it did inspire me to briefly lust for a pearl 8107W. I do not recall if Q has posted a picture of one or not.
Easy does it Scott. Be careful that those 07's don't disturb the universe and you end up addicted to them. (ask me how I know

It's a slippery slope, Bud. I may be speaking from experience.TripleF wrote: ↑Tue Jul 19, 2022 1:05 pmjerryd6818 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 19, 2022 12:52 pmEasy does it Scott. Be careful that those 07's don't disturb the universe and you end up addicted to them. (ask me how I know)
I hear ya pal.....I hear ya.
I do have another, shown here with this NON 07...
As far as I know pearl 8107W Mini-T knives only exist in lustful imagination.QTCut5 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 19, 2022 6:47 am [...] 8507W Pictures I have (actual knife in my collection...not yet), but I can't say I've ever seen or even heard of an 8107W (was that a typo, perhaps, or do you know something I don't?) Now, The Monkey is all agitated and up in arms, insisting I find and get an MOP 8107W, STAT!! Thanks a lot!

The only five-blade 07 I currently own is this Stag 5507 which I got because of the stag despite the fact that for some inexplicable reason it does not have a Wharncliffe blade (to the best of my Mini-T knowledge, the only five-blade Mini-T with a Wharncliffe blade is the MOP 8507W).

Wow!! That certainly got The Monkey's attention
You're right. These days all these politically correct folks like to call it fossil, or those trying to sell ivory that's been banned, but it ain't fossilized. What it really should be called is mineralized. The minerals have invaded and infiltrated, stained and colored, but the ivory is still there. Fossil would be where ivory has been replaced by stone, minerals, etc and is not there anymore. Good to get the terms right. I see stuff called fossil regularly that is not fossilized and by mistake or deliberate deception they like to call mineralized ivory a fossil. But it's not a fossil. Beautiful Mastodon there Q. Wow.QTCut5 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 25, 2022 6:46 amWow!! That certainly got The Monkey's attention![]()
I don't have any cap-lifter 07s, but I do have this 1985 IV207 with factory installed "fossilized mastodon" handle (Case's term, not mine - I had always thought that fossilized meant "turned into stone"...but what do I know?)

Now that I've had a taste of your Mammoth mods, Barry, I'm considering having you outfit ALL my Mini-Ts with Mammoth.![]()
I'm sure you could handle the job since I only have a couple hundred or so. (Not sure I could afford it, though)
jerryd, those are nice cap-lifter 07s. If only you'd had them back when you were in college, you would've been the most popular dude at all the frat parties, I think.
