doglegg, your beautiful photos reveal that you are being blessed with some good weather.

I'm wondering if I should try and do my own taxes this year.

Good morning. I'm off to install a butcher top counter top and maybe do a little trim. At noon we'll head over to a restaurant for a free meal and a seminar on install Smart Board siding to see if we have been doing it right all this time. This weekend is supposed to be a mess of snow, rain and freezing rain. The weather people have been all over the place on how we will be getting wet and don't seem to have a solid clue what's coming but all agree something is. Nothing is planned for the weekend outside of the usual. Have a good Friday.____Dave

Good Mornin', Folks.
64° this morning, a bit foggy and the forecasts have changed, again. Yesterday had a tiny shower when we were eating dinner, then the sun returned, some clouds during the evening. Late local news was worried folks wouldn't be able to see the lunar eclipse earlier this morning. I suppose it happened, had the eclipse happened when our children were young, we would have gotten up to see the event. The rough weather according to the forecasts will be on Sunday. ::shrug::
We picked up a trailer full of pruned vines, limbs and dead limbs that never stop falling. A price for having a lot of big mature trees in the yard.
Not sure what we'll get into today, most likely it'll be something outside. ::nod::
This big ol' mug of coffee sure tastes good this morning!
Y'all be careful out there today.

Morning folks, looks like 58 wus the low 83 expected sez Henry the weekend guesser, he's getting a early start looks like. He's talking some bad weather heading our way late today and all day tomorrow. Wouldn't make me mad iff'in he's wrong.
Critters are fed and the dishes warshed and put away. Wampus wuz on the tractor seat, he sez hiiiiis.
Buddies day at Hooters.
Had a fine supper last evening at the Red lobster with my son, dil and grandson. We try to get together at least once a month for a meal, always a pleasure.
Old shoulder is still aggravating me so I don't expect much work getting done around here.

I stayed up watching the final game of yesterday's round two of the men's SEC basketball tourney. Kentucky played newcomer to the SEC, Oklahoma. Kentucky blew a nice ten-point lead in the final minutes and with about five seconds left, Oklahoma took the lead by one. Somehow Kentucky managed to get the ball in, down the floor and in the basket just before the buzzer to win by one. It was after 1 AM by the time the game ended.
Before going to bed, I went outside and took a gander at the moon which was partially eclipsed at that point. I didn't tarry long but it was interesting to see.

Mornin' guys and gal. I woke up early and I'll wolf down a quick breakfast on the way to do a show in Leander this weekend. I was surprised to get a table. It is usually a well attended show so I am anxious to see how it goes from a sales standpoint.
Our weather continues to be mild to almost hot. I am in shorts and Tees with the current temp at 65º and I suspect it'll get to 90º or at least near that later today.
Hope your day is a good one.

Good morning. Yesterday, after lots of internet digging, we found out what that trike that I posted pictures of is. It's called a Velomobile made in Michigan as an answer to the energy crisis in the 1970's. About 5000 were made, they are very collectable, and they have occasional rallies in Michigan. Now, along with my 1930's Elgin Twin Bar bike, I can join two PPV (personal peddle vehicle) clubs. I wonder if they have diners? I think I'll settle for coffee with you guys. I peddled the Velomobile a little the other day and my left knee, which has a bakers cyst in it that only gives me grief when I do stuff that irritates it like roofing a house, let me know it doesn't like my new old trike. Today I plan on cutting out a new windshield for it out of a piece of polycarbonite to match the old one that was cracked, and some time Jason and I will need to tear into the transmission to see why it skips or jumps a sprocket, mostly in first gear. I think I need to start collecting knives again. I'm running out of room for my bicycles and Jane wants the garage space for the car. She doesn't seem to mind me bringing home another knife, but gets upset when I drag home another pendulum wall or shelf clock (which I'll admit I have way too many of) but another bike or trike makes things a little tense and It's harder to slip in un-noticed. Collecting multiple things does keep life interesting, but also makes the kids and Jane nervous about the idea of me dying and leaving them to deal with stuff. Friends tell me to let them know if I plan a rummage sale because they will come with a truck, and if I die, a big truck so I don't see a problem. Have a good weekend. It's raining on my parade here.____Dave

Morning folks, 67 for the low probably gonna be the high also. The predicted overnite storms have so far slid off to the southeast but radar is showing some activity to the west coming our way.
Critters are fed, wampus wuz sneaking around the back yard, fed him before daylight trying to beat the rain. Now it looks to be starting just before 8a.m.
Ray Hope you have a good show.

Had 70’s summer weather yesterday, 30’s winter today a little snow and lots of wind. Yuck. Mother Nature is bi-polar and off her meds. The same cycle continues over the next week or so.
Work today so time to get movin’.

Good Mornin', Fellers and Gal!
Starting out at 61° and clear blue skies. Weather is supposed to get bad this evening. ::paranoid::
Yard work occupied yesterday's daylight hours. More of the same today, at least until dinner time.
Coffee was good earlier this morning.
Y'all have a great Saturday!

Mornin' folks here in the Diner. I'll get the coffee started this morning. The show yesterday had a good crowd, not elbow to elbow but still good. I didn't sell a single thing until noon but after that business was good and I managed to move some cutlery.
Our weather here has turned a little cooler and it is 48º here right now. We desperately need rain, even a good, soaking shower would be nice.
Hope you all have a blessed day.

Good morning. Glad you had a decent show Ray. Maybe the economy is picking up. I asked the feed store about getting a few chicks this spring to keep my little flock younger, and they said that their suppliers are so far behind supplying orders that nothing will be available until at least May. My birds are still producing eggs, but ten are a year old and the rest are up to 5 years old so they are basically just pets now. It always amazes me when I see chickens show different personalities almost as unique as two dogs or two cats do. They certainly aren't as smart as dogs, but they sure know how to pester me for a treat or sometimes just attention or act out of curiosity at something. Church is in a few hour and I need to leave early to pick up two great grand kids for Sunday School and haul them home after. Nothing else is planned for the day. It's too cold, windy and damp to do much outside. With yesterday's rain/snow mix, I didn't get anything done on the Velomobile. Have a great Sunday.____Dave

Good Mornin', Folks.
We were blessed with no damage early this morning, as the big storm passed over our part of creation beginning around 2am. Thank you, Lord! ::pray:: News reports say there are so far over 40 tornadoes from this storm. Lives lost and lots of property damage and it is still heading east. Let's not forget those dealing with the wildfires in Oklahoma.
65° as we start the day. Yesterday the wind was really blowing as we worked on the yard. Mowed for a couple of hours and spent several hours trying to dig up the roots of a well established greenbrier that was climbing a red oak tree. Removing the vines was easy, the roots are unreal! Greenbrier is a great deer food but not in the front yard!
Coffee is good as usual, this still overcast morning.
Church in a few hours, the long nap won't happen today as our daughter from Panama City plans to visit. She told Miss Joy, she wants to come and work with us on workday this week as they are on Spring break down in Bay County.
That reminds me, when I worked for the school board, we always made sausage during Spring break. ::hmm::
Y'all have a good day, try to make to church if you can.

Morning folks, 57 the overnight low heading down all day sez Henry the weekend guesser 40's by afternoon. Looks like the rain guage is almost running over, it holds 5 inches of water.
Outside critters are fed, wampus was on the tractor seat high and dry, sez hi'ss.
Had 20 different bird calls on the merlin app on my phone this morning.
Kinda slept in this morning, time to get busy and fix us up a scramble.

Good Mornin', Dave and other FCD participants.
Yesterday was a pretty day, clear with a bit of a northern breeze, normal after a front goes through. 45°, calm and clear as it getting light in the east.
Coffee is almost made. More yard and garden work will probably consume our day.
Our school teacher daughter went to her church yesterday with the intent of visiting us in the afternoon. She texted her mother and said she had taken a new allergy medicine and began to be very drowsy as she was leaving Panama City. She turned around and made her way back home. Thankful she recognized this before she was on the long ride to Starvation Plantation!
Y'all be safe out there. ::tu::

Good Morning Everyone!
Big day, Cheryl and I are getting the house ready to close for a week and packing our suitcases.
We are Missouri bound first thing Tuesday morning to see our oldest son in Herculaneum, Mo.
Mr. Griffin is going with us but he always thinks he's being left behind. My son is a preacher so
we won't miss church while we are gone. We will be going up Hwy 75 and 69 through Oklahoma
to Joplin, MO where we will spend the night. There are a couple of antique stores alone the way
and the Rangeline Antique Mall in Joplin where I have found some good knives in the past. Then
between Joplin and my son's house there are more than a dozen places to stop and shop along
Interstate 44 for us to see going and coming home. We will make a side trip to Ozark, Mo but I
don't think we will make the trip down to Branson, Mo this time. Have a blessed day everyone
and be safe.... :D

Morning folks, frosty 30 at daybreak supposed to top out in the upper 50's, ole sol is shinning bright after a dreary misty Sunday. Poured over 5 inches out of the rain gauge yestiddy.
Critters are fed wampus wuz on the tractor seat hissing his morning salute.
