Some funny stuff goin' on here, all Spring we were getting rains on a regular basis and the storms seemed to fizzle out before they got to West Tenn. You come up and spend a week in Illinois and our last 3 or 4 forecasted rains did not materialize, but now it's raining in Tennessee? BigHomer the shaman!!!!

Nice knives you're carrying.

Is that one of Dowagiac's finest that you are showing alongside, maybe a jointed vamp?
Thank you, Ike. The Holley is kind of rough and tumble but they made such a neat old knife.
I love to carry them now and again.

Yes it is. It is a Heddon River Runt Spook Sinker from Dowagiac, Michigan.
With screws on the harness. 1933ish.
So glad you appreciate them. ::tu:: ::tu::
I used to live about 15 minutes from Dowagiac, have not been to the Heddon museum there but plan to go my next trip back that way. They apparently have quite a collection of old lures on display.

Man I love the Hawthornes. I think it's the high Saber grind that does it for me. However the $600 price range on the secondary market is just too rich for my blood.

Fried pork skins with a little heat added....a good healthy snack!

I haven't been to a Sheetz, they are gradually moving this way. I think there are now 2 or 3 locations around Detroit, I'll have to stop in next time I am that way and tell 'em Knipper sent me! ::nod::

Most def! 😉👍 How about Buc-ee's? This one was outside of Dayton, OH. When Herb and I went to the Shenandoah Valley Knife Collectors Club show in Harrisonburg, VA, I talked him into stopping at that Buc-ee's. It was lunchtime on Good Friday. I don’t think he was impressed. 🤭
