Here you go - a few pics of what I had in my pockets, including the Fontenille Pataud St. Martin

It has a nice long blade, and I am really starting to prefer a slipjoint with a blade of 3 ¼” to 3 ½”. Like a large sodbuster. Starting to accrue a few. Seems to me to be the best kind of working knife

The Fontenille Pataud is a real slicer. Flat ground and 3mm at the spine, it is nevertheless quite fine because of the overall breadth of the blade.

Think I am going to like this one. I have a few French regional slipjoints of similar design. I like them all but the overall glamour of this one is pretty compelling :) I have a little bunch of these FPs, all terrific

That St. Martin is a gorgeous knife. I saw one a couple of years back, but I don't remember where. Could you please PM me where you got it?

As I work in an office setting my EDC is a slipjoint, nothing that'll scare the masses too much. On weekends though I'll slip a CRK large regular Sebenza in my pocket.

Some interesting knives being shown. ::tu::

Nine months into an intended lifetime of use, my HK by Benchmade. One of very few modern knives I presently own, a well made piece.

Ooooh, I like the other one. The one with the chip out of the handle. What is that? The swedge on the main blade really sets it off. You can tell it's been around for a while. Do you have an approximation on the age?

Here is what I am EDCing today.
I*XL Wharncliffe
Canal Street Canittler
Kershaw Wild Turkey that I rehandled with bone scraps
Case Swayback Jack
Benchmade Mini-Griptilian

The Benchmade is a constant carry. It rodes in my right side leg pocket (the ruler pocket on carpenter or logger jeans).
The Kershaw is a pattern I have liked for 25 years or so. I like the feel of the bone much better than the standard rosewood they come with. I have been EDCing it since I made it 3 or 4 months ago.
The Case I have carried for a bout a year, off and on, bit mostly on.

Nice looking EDCs guys and some interesting choices.

Cheers Augustus88. Have to say the same for that Doctor of yours :)

But let me ask you about your avatar? Is that a GEC/Tidioute #23?

If it is, how are you getting on with it? It looks like a handful. I have a couple of the #23 pattern single blades, and like that size a lot. Those two-bladeers have really been nagging at me.

I have a two-blade #73 and I use it much. I could do with something bigger, but not so big it'll pull my pants down ::dang::

It's an old Cattaraugus Cutlery Company doctor's knife. Not sure how old it is. I carry and use it very carefully on occasion. It was a very generous gift from Tim Balda at Amherst Knife Company. Great little knife!

The knife in my avatar is a GEC #73 in Grizzly Cut Bone. I have a #23 in Walnut bone and it's quite a handful. I carry my slipjoint knives in a pocket clip sheath, so the size isn't that much of an issue. Haven't lost my pants yet! :D

Here's a few of my GEC knives for a size comparison. The #73 and #23 are on the right.

I do appreciate the way that you have arranged things for yourself there, augustus88 :)

That grizzly jig is so appropriately named. I just hope that somewhere out there is a #23 wearing that :):)

Don't want to derail this thread, but I made them myself with stuff purchased at Michael's Arts and Crafts and Home Depot.

I just posted a tutorial thread. Here's the link: http://www.allaboutpocketknives.com/kni ... 38&t=17380
