Maybe a knock-off of the Beretta?

That's exactly what I'm talk'in about Steve, and it doesn't sound "odd" at all!Steve Warden wrote: ↑Thu Dec 17, 2020 1:19 pm While I don't have a "comfort knife" by Mark's definition, I always have a knife in my pocket that will come out for some fondling from time to time. I would say I do find comfort in that. Some may find it odd, but during those times I like to open the knife and take pleasure in the edge I've put on the blades. Having a sharp knife in hand is just, well, comforting!
This has been a fun thread to follow. I do believe I shall continue![]()

The little SAK is just because I can't bring myself to stick it away in a knife folder.
The RR Peanut is used for misc. cutting tasks.
The yellow SAK is because I just love looking at it.
The Leatherman Wingman is just because...............

The Beretta is for coon fingering & chicken eyeing plus the occasional cutting task.

This Chinese Smith & Wesson is also for coon fingering & chicken eyeing and I just can't seem to bring myself to put it away.

Nice knives B.H.!
Wow,I had to dig some, the holey knife just says 440 stainless China. I bought 3 knives for 10 bucks, shipped to get the RR barlow, the 2 bottom ones are just fodder. I probably have used the holey knife more in the last year or so than any knife I own. I've opened to many packages, cut wires ,zip ties and clam packs too remember, matter of fact the yeller handle buckshot use to get most of that work but now is semi retired. It's a cheap China flipper that the spring broke and I made it into a fixed blade. P.S. it makes a pretty good pry bar
Thank you! But I do believe it's a Chinese knock-off. "Beretta" is no where to be found on the knife.

I'm definitely finding that if one can get past the Chinese aspect, you can wind-up with some fairly decent knives.Steve Warden wrote: ↑Thu Dec 17, 2020 7:08 pmThank you! But I do believe it's a Chinese knock-off. "Beretta" is no where to be found on the knife.
My research shows Beretta to be made in the USA and/or Japan.
The action on mine is silky smooth, no slop with the blade in transition (stays where you leave it if you're in mid-open or close), and a nice, tight frame lock-up. No play or wobble with the blade at all.
Really likin that one!!!Madmarco wrote: ↑Thu Dec 17, 2020 7:01 pm Well, I'm in a "snappy" mood today, so let's go with an auto! This is an AGA Campolin Zero leverlock that is 8 3/4" oal/black-coated dagger blade with blood groove, brushed SS bolsters liners lever and screws, adjustable pivot, black-textured G-10 scales, and removeable pocket-clip. Due to all the SS on this knife it weighs-in at about 8 oz.'s, and only the bottom edge is sharpened. Fires like a cannon, and locks-up tight with NO play! There is a larger model called the Zero+, and it's built identically to this one, but, 1 1/2" longer, and I hope to acquire one of those sooner or later. There's a small shield that comes with this knife, and it's meant to fill the hole in the scale that appears when you remove the pocket-clip, and I think that was a classy move on AGA's part! This folder is solid as the day is long, and to be sure I didn't break it by over-use, I ordered a clone from China that's currently in the mail, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed it doesn't get inspected and seized by Customs! I'll keep ya updated on that one! Lemme tell ya, I'm plenty comfortable with this one beside me! 8)WIN_20201217_10_52_01_Pro.jpg

Are you hooked on automatics, Sam?
Wouldn't say hooked but if you can get an automatic for the same money as a manual then why not. They are legal now in Indiana where I live.
That is a gorgeous knife, O H!Old Hunter wrote: ↑Sun Dec 20, 2020 3:55 pm I absolutely love the look of a Congress Knife, but have never liked one in the pocket (my own issue I reckon). I like looking at them and keep some on display to view. I won this Office Knife this past spring in a GAW on Blade Forums; its a lovely knife, perfect fit & finish as well as walk & talk. It stays on my desk and gets used a lot for what it was designed to be - a desk knife. A lady I've worked with for many years gave me an alabaster desk block - the knife fits nicely there and is always in front of me. OH
