Boy Scout Axes and hatchets Sought for Online Collection

Post by AllenMcB »

Howdy,

As a collector of mainly BSA knives and related items, I realize their is no one place on the web that is dedicated to this part of Scouting history.

I have created www.ScoutKnives.Net, and included an area exclusive to Boy Scout axes and hatchets.

If anyone has good, clear photos of original Scout axes, I would be more than happy to add your photos and comments to to online collection, and give you credit for your contributions, unless you prefer to remain anonymous.

Right now we've got more data missing than present, and all contributions of history, info, and photos would be appreciated.

This is a non-commercial site. Since I own the server, I can afford to host it myself without revenue.

Many thanks!

WOW ! ! !

I feel like Christmas came a few days early for me. Right down my alley. Thank you Allen for creating this site. I have already registered and look forward to spending lots of time on the site learning more about my little niche of knife collecting. Hopefully I will be able to contribute a bit as well. Thanks again Allen.

Merry Christmas, Phil. Hope to see some of your collection soon.

I've worked mainly on the Camillus and Victorinox brands so far, and there's a lot of work left to do. There's far more to do than what's been done so far.

I'm hoping the community (Scouting and knife) considers it to be their site, and isn't shy about making suggestions and contributions.

I don't know why it took me so long to think of this.........
