Just want to share what this site has made possable.

Post by SuperC51 »

I made these for family for Christmas and just wanted to show them off. None are perfect, but they are all a lot better than the damaged parts they started with. Surprise to me each one makes me want to do another one. Thanks to all for all the info and encouragement.

Nice job on those.
Gives me a couple ideas.
I have a few kitchen implements waiting for a rework myself, including a heavy duty melon baller & 2 if the biggest, heavy duty meat forks. All need new handles.

I really like the wine opener & the marlin spike. Is that fossil ivory on the marlin spike?

Yes - I find that little file doesn't always go where I expect it to. It doesn't show as much on the single back springs. Seriously I am finding that starting out with a light touch gives me better results. Red thanks for the encouragement. You have put a lot of BEAUTIFUL knives up for us to look at. Marvin
