new project.............................
I ran out of propane and didn't want to make the trip to town so I started a project that didn't need propane.........................yet.
I'm beginning to get a real appreciation for those folder makers. This is some tricky stuff! I guess if I had a pattern to use it would be much easier........................I'm using some scribbled notes and a little poke and hope!
Take care.......................

Nice start Gary!
What did you use to cut out the liners? I just started a toothpick - wow way different than a fixed blade.
I will grind the blade this weekend - I'm used to hanging onto bigger steel!
Next time I may make 2 blades. That way I can put the blades back to back and have a bigger piece of steel to hang onto.
Makes me wish I had a mill and a surface grinder.

Well................................I was off to a good start. I proceeded to ruin the blade today trying to grind it. I got ahead of myself. The blade should have been ground before the liners were made; now it's time to start all over! This is a real challenge!
Maybe I should read up on this!!!!!!

It was a spammer. If you see something like that again, press the ! Down the bottom right-hand corner of the post to report it.
Then I or someone else will be along to delete it, as I am doing to the 10 spams that knucklehead left.

Re: new project.............................
The folder was fun. I just grabbed some steel and went to town on it, for awhile there I thought I was going to have a knife.
I soon figured out there is a lot I have to learn!

Can't even begin to imagine the skill that goes in to making these blades and stuff.
