When I got them, they had those wonderful early plastic/boneite/whatever scales on them which had shrunk significantly, to the point at which on had a rocker pin crack. The brass beneath them left a bit to be desired, but it was nothing a good scrubbing couldn't fix
Anywho, Oak burl for the serpentine jack, nearly the last of my block of sycamore lace on the cigar jack, and some kinda simple filework for both. I have a real hard time with 2 spring knives, especially when the secondary spring is thinner. I like my filework somewhat symmetrical, and it's tough to get that when you don't have the same amount of metal to work with. I've gone a bit overboard this past week, and I have enough knives coming in here in the next short while to last me through the winter (I hope) including 2 new brands for me
