old timer rescaled

Post by Gus »

Here's a usa 980t I got with the Springer in the other post. At first I was like "what the hell am I gonna do with this". Blade was broke other blade was gouged and chipped. So anyways I tore it apart, kinda my first adventure besides kits. Scrapped the one blade and did alittle regrinding on the other. Rescaled in my fave wood Koa mostly cause it's readily available from a friend, but it also looks so sweet and only grows in Hawaii!!!! I had to wing it on the badge so it's not so smooth, but you know you just can't keep beaten yerself up just move on and have fun with more cool knives. This is my go to edc, well it's always in my pocket even when I have another knife with me. It ended up pretty thin getting all the junk out so its sharp as a razor!!

Looks good Gus.
What did you finish the wood with?
