Does anyone know about this Schrade Walden Model??

Schrade Cutlery Company was founded in 1904 by George Schrade, and his brothers Jacob and William Schrade. In 1946 Imperial Knife Associated Companies, (IKAC; an association of Ulster Knife Co and Imperial Knife Co) purchased controlling interest in Schrade Cut Co and changed the name to Schrade Walden Cutlery. In 1973 the name was changed to Schrade Cutlery. In 2004 Schrade closed due to bankruptcy.

This forum is dedicated to the knives that are the legacy of this company. This forum is not the place to discuss the replica knives currently being imported using the Schrade name.

Does anyone know about this Schrade Walden Model??

Post by fRANKALLEN »

Here is a Knife, one of my friends bought at an Estate sell. I really wish someone here could tell me about it. Is it a Switchblade?? I can't get the blades to spring out when I push the button?? I guess it might be broke. The small latches I guess lock and unlease the blade, Is that right?? Any help will be greatly appreciated!! ::tu::

Thanks,

Frank

Frank, Welcome to AAPK! ::welcome::

Yes indeed you have a Schrade switch blade! ::tu::
Someone who knows the switchblades will be along and can probably give you a model number.
