Schrade Cutlery Company was founded in 1904 by George Schrade, and his brothers Jacob and William Schrade. In 1946 Imperial Knife Associated Companies, (IKAC; an association of Ulster Knife Co and Imperial Knife Co) purchased controlling interest in Schrade Cut Co and changed the name to Schrade Walden Cutlery. In 1973 the name was changed to Schrade Cutlery. In 2004 Schrade closed due to bankruptcy.

This forum is dedicated to the knives that are the legacy of this company. This forum is not the place to discuss the replica knives currently being imported using the Schrade name.

I was watching this one, even thinking of bidding on it for a while. The final selling price blew me away! If another one ever shows up on ebay, I have some idea of what to bid now. Just in case the auction isn't available for viewing, the knife was an 892UH with staglon handles, 3 blades in a stockman configuration and looked like the 3rd Generation series. The shield had Uncle Henry stamped in it. I like the 3rd Gen. knives and track them on ebay when they appear. It has been maybe two years since I've seen one of these and the final price of $137.50 reflects how rare and desirable they are. Congraduations to the winner!

That is a lot less than the last few that have been on Ebay. I keep pretty close watch on Schrade USA auctions, and somehow this was one of those that must have been in a black hole. I never saw it listed. :? Nice pick up for the winner. ::tu::
