New serial number style

Post by Syztems Rety »

Just a note. I got one of the new #62 congresses in yesterday. It looks like GEC is moving to a different style of serial number engraving. This was not the script engraving, but a block font, possibly stamped, serial number.

The new numbers are still engraved the same way as the script numbers were. We got a new set of numbers and they happen to be block style.

Thanks for the info.

Ignorantly, I assumed they were done by hand  . Obviously, now that I think about it, that would be too hard to do consistently to such perfection.

For what it's worth, i like the script more than the block. Maybe it will grow on me. Of course, my preference is no serial numbers.
