Hardness scale
Some of the China made knives would appeal more if they would advertise a scale of hardness kinda like AG does in his catalog . What do you all think?

Re: Hardness scale
The three A. G. Russell Chinese made knives discussed in another post have Rockwell Hardness of 57-58, I believe.

I agree Paul, along with better packaging with some of the brands.zed6309 wrote:It cant hurt, plus a nice leaflet inside with this inforamtion etc,
Some brands I have noticed have pretty cheap looking packaging.
IMHO, this makes the product look cheap, but has no effect of the quality.
However it does effect the buyer's perception of the product, no matter what the product is.

i agree about the packaging orvet some does look cheap and makes a difference as sometimes it is what you see first, although not in my case as knives not really available in shops in the uk so its mainly pics of the knives themeselves on line , ive got boxes here from schrade, rough rider, timber wolf, and elk ridge, TBH schrades is about the nicest i have then the timber wolf followed bt RR, elk ridge is rubbish, i dint think making the packaging would up the price but make them more selable to people who possibly usualy dont buy chinese made knives, they need to look at packaging by other higher priced makes to see how its done,
