Master Mechanic knives

Schrade Cutlery Company was founded in 1904 by George Schrade, and his brothers Jacob and William Schrade. In 1946 Imperial Knife Associated Companies, (IKAC; an association of Ulster Knife Co and Imperial Knife Co) purchased controlling interest in Schrade Cut Co and changed the name to Schrade Walden Cutlery. In 1973 the name was changed to Schrade Cutlery. In 2004 Schrade closed due to bankruptcy.

This forum is dedicated to the knives that are the legacy of this company. This forum is not the place to discuss the replica knives currently being imported using the Schrade name.

Master Mechanic knives

Post by orvet »

I got some hardcopy flyers sometime back. Recently I sorted through them to file them for later research. I think they came from Charlie (upnorth), but it could have been Larry Vickery (LRV) or perhaps even from Tom Williams (CAMCO).
Regardless, I thank who ever sent them.

This catalog is for Master Mechanic knives, made of course by Schrade. it is a 1989 catalog.
Master Mechanic is a brand of True Value Hardware stores.

Now you can look for yet another variation of Schrade patterns to collect. ::facepalm::
Isn’t Schrade collecting so much fun?
Well, at least it is NEVER boring!
