Schrade made Buck 301.

Schrade Cutlery Company was founded in 1904 by George Schrade, and his brothers Jacob and William Schrade. In 1946 Imperial Knife Associated Companies, (IKAC; an association of Ulster Knife Co and Imperial Knife Co) purchased controlling interest in Schrade Cut Co and changed the name to Schrade Walden Cutlery. In 1973 the name was changed to Schrade Cutlery. In 2004 Schrade closed due to bankruptcy.

This forum is dedicated to the knives that are the legacy of this company. This forum is not the place to discuss the replica knives currently being imported using the Schrade name.

A Buck 301 sold on eBay for $103 - At that price it must have been a nice knife.

Schill bidders. ::shrug:: You can get them for a whole lot less than that any day of the week.
I measure my collection by the ton.

Looks like he/she needed the knife prettly badly...........I have made initial bids well in excess of what I
think the winning bid will be. I think the advantage is that it does not allow anyone else to get too attatched
to the item, cause they can never get the high bid. Most bidders bid in small increments and after repeatedly
getting the 'you have been outbid' message, maybe some just move on? I see one guy bid three times in
a row and never got the lead. I think it can be a momentum/demoralization thing, like a sports team that
plays from behind the whole game kinda. Who knows what his initial bid was.........but it doesn't really matter
either, he wanted it the most, LOL.
