SCHRADE DU13

Schrade Cutlery Company was founded in 1904 by George Schrade, and his brothers Jacob and William Schrade. In 1946 Imperial Knife Associated Companies, (IKAC; an association of Ulster Knife Co and Imperial Knife Co) purchased controlling interest in Schrade Cut Co and changed the name to Schrade Walden Cutlery. In 1973 the name was changed to Schrade Cutlery. In 2004 Schrade closed due to bankruptcy.

This forum is dedicated to the knives that are the legacy of this company. This forum is not the place to discuss the replica knives currently being imported using the Schrade name.

I have just bought a DU13 which I have been told came from the factory buy out? It has the Ducks unlimited etching on the blade delrin handles with Ducks unlimited inlay.Also file worked? Lable/sticker on handle thats said to be from buy out # reads ITEAM #10 DU13F FILE BACK HALLMARK. Can anyone tell me if its a buy out Factory SCHRADE..tried putting up a few pictures but they won't load in the format I have them in..any help would be great..thanks warren

It is nearly impossible to tell what you have without pictures, unless one of us have the knife.
If you convert your files to .jpg they should post just fine.

Most all image editing programs (including the standard Microsoft Paint) will allow you to convert the format of a picture by doing a Save As and selecting .jpg as the file type.
