Sent messages going to my OUTBOX?

I just sent 3 private messages, one to a moderator, but in fear he didn't get it, I am posting here.

Why are my sent messages now showing up ONLY in my Outbox, not my sent messages?

They only show sent after someone reads them. They will sit in your Outbox until then.
