SHRADE+ = 440C, 440A OR ?

In a discussion in another forum, the following document was brought to my attention.

On page 3 of this document, they note that Schrade+ is 440A.

My understanding from previous discussions was that Schrade+ changed and that at one point it was 440C, so I'm confused (which is normal).

I note that the "Knife Knowledge" document uses the same font and header styles as the mid 80s Schrade catalogs. I also belief that the mid 80s is when Buck moved away from 440C to 425Mod for the Buck 110 and similar knives.

So, I guess my question is this...

Did Schrade (prior to the mid 80s) ever use 440C for their Schrade+?

Or, was Schrade+ always (or almost always) 44OA?

Or lastly, were there other stainless variants that were used under the Schrade+ mark?

As a collector if Schrade I have long ago resigned myself to the fact that there are some things I will never know for sure.
The only way I know to get a definitive answer to these questions is to ask the people who worked there, which will be hard for most of to do now. Eric may be able to shed some light on this. I recall hearing someone associated with Schrade say they thought SCHRADE+ was a proprietary version of 440C, so that is what I have post a number of times. I had totally forgotten about this pamphlet that I copied for Bryan to put in the research section.
Too much info and so little brain capacity.

Eric, do you happen to know if Schrade used 440C at some point?
