Another Project From My Workbench

Post by orvet »

Here is another project from my workshop.
I have become rather fond of West Cut knives. West Cut is a brand of Western, who IMHO made some of the finest carbon steel knives of the last century.

This was a 2-blade jack with ugly orange-ish yellow celluloid that was a poor attempt to look like stag, similar to Schrade’s Staglon, but with an ugly fake looking twist.

I replaced the celluloid that had so badly offended my eyes with a couple nice pieces of stag from the Henckels factory. I made it a single blade, nice and slim (about 3/8” wide), but it is a nice useful 3-3/8” closed. An excellent size for the pocket when you don’t want a heavy bulky knife.

Nice. Almost has an "Uncle Henry" look to it.

Way to go!! You should take all those pen blades, springs and spare liners that are good and make some small single blades out of them. ::tu::
