America's New President

Post by smiling-knife »

Hi... in my collecting of old wine ads, articles etc I came across this original 1860 article from the Illustrated London News entitled America's New President. It is a full page 11 by 14 inches. The story comments on Mr. Lincoln's background, personality, early political career etc. It has two engravings one of the beardless new President and one of his original residence. The article continues on the back side. I realize that this won't be everyone's cup of tea, but it is a genuine bit of history that may appeal to someone. This is almost 150 years old. I would rather it reside with someone who will appreciate it more than me. If you are interested please let me know.
