Is this bogus?
I get these popup polls by Google at the bottom of the screen, although I am a gun rights supporter I prefer not to answer what appears to be questionable.Notice where the "X" is on this popup poll.

Re: Is this bogus?
I always assume those are bogus. When I do advocacy for my beliefs, I try to make my time and effort count - I call my Senator and Congressmen and tell them what I think, following up with an e-mail. The polls are diversions, what Congress passes is real - put your efforts there. Now, a well written "Letter to the Editor" can sway the undecided - that is another good place to spend your effort. Greg I clicked on one of those links to see where it would take me. It gave me a poll with a few gun control related questions and then at the end of the questions, asked for my email address so they could send me the poll results...............and their newsletter. Just another scam to build a mailing list of email addresses. I X''d out and didn't give them my info.
I have seen links posted on Ruger and Smith and Wesson sites that were set up to allow you to make contact with your senators and representatives to voice your feelings on the currently discussed gun control legislation. I participated in the Ruger link and I've gotten replies in the mail from a senator and a representative, along with an email from another senator, so I know that was on the up and up.
