If you can think of something to talk about that is not related to knives, discuss it here.

ATF Inspection at the store today........

Post by knifemaker3 »

Yep, today the ATF made their first inspection visit since I've started selling guns. I passed! ::ds::

Well, sorta.....have a couple of minor things to try and clean up....but he said I was doing things correctly and told me a few things to help me have to do less paper work.

All in all just like dealing with any other government inspector......as long as they see you are trying to do what they want they are willing to work with you to help you get things corrected.

Hard to believe I've already been selling long enough to have to renew my license this year......just wish I could get ammo and reloading supplies in right now. ::td::

I agree km. ATF was here a while back. Very courteous and most helpful.
Life would be meaningless if we couldn't wish for anything.

wishful, I've wanted to sell guns for a few years now but had always stayed out of it due to all the horror stories I'd been told about the ATF. But, I've always found them to be really helpful every time I've called with questions no matter how stupid a question it has been. I'm sure you can get a bad apple like in anything else, but so far I have no complaints with the ones I've had to deal with. Wish I'd have started a few years back now.....
God Bless!

I am glad to hear that the ATF was decent and helpful to you dealers; that is not what you normally read. OH
