Afzelia is native to Africa and SE Asia, it is ,in my oppinion, the same as big leaf maple, just a different color and smell.
muskrat man, that is the first knife model I made. The only other models I've made with the angled lines is some of my kitchen cutlery. As you know, the angles are kinda' tricky to keep symetrical from one side to the other but it adds a little attitude to the piece
