Help identifying an old Case XX
Today an older knife connissuere gave me a pile of worn-out Case knives, he wants me to see if I can get some blades put into an old XX, it's a small (2.75ish) 2 blade(one on each end) redbone, has easy open on back, similar to a 62042. Looks like a spear for the master (broken) Would post a pic, don't have time right now. Also, who can put blades in older knives?? (I doubt if Case could-probably discontinued) Who is the gentleman in TN that works on 'em??? Had his info at one time. Any help is appreciated!!

Looks like he mentions that it is 2.75 inches long.
So, a 2-3/4" closed pen pattern, spear master, CASE XX stamping. Not a 62042 since that is 3" closed.
Maybe a 6201.....maybe a 62053. The 62053 would be stainless and looks like a smaller version of the 06263 Eisenhower. The 6201 is a 2-5/8" closed slim equal end penknife.
Case can only replace blades if they currently make tha pattern and if today's tooling matches.
There is a Case repair man in Bradford - former Case employee - used to advertise in Knife World.

Thanks for the info. Here's a few pics, it may look rough, but it really is tight, and, I'd be willing to spend a little on ANY halfway salvageable redbone XX. Any info on the fellow on Bradford?? That would be awesome, if someone could send me some info to searnest@centurytel.net Also, I believe someone saw the 2.75 and thought of a 2 blade 75 pattern, so I'll try to post a pic of a USA moose I have handy. Thanks again!!
