Rough Rider Sunfish / Elephant Toe

Post by Toejammer »

Well, I pulled the trigger on two of these the other night, and now we get to see what the fuss is all about. These are the first slippies I've picked up, but I do have more than a few tacticals from Taiwan / China and have NO regrets. (the CRKT's are a perfect example)

First off, fit and finish could be a little better, notably on the Yellowhorse. (the shield is all cock eyed) Both walk and talk, good snap and half stops. The larger one is a beast, 4 1/4" closed and weighs a ton. Blades are 440 stainless, and if not for the etching, they look great. The etching itself reeks of "truckstop knife", and takes away from what is basically a nice design. All in all, they ain't bad for the money.

Oh, and the wife claimed the Yellowhorse as soon as I got it opened, go figure. ::rotflol::
