Schrade made D-E 1/2 Trapper

I did not think this knife was correct, but I found a picture of
one like it in a older Sargents book. My pictures are bad but
the blade grinds are different than I had ever seen on one of
these before. What do you think? Pics should click larger.

Stockman,I don`t know about the grinds,but that knife is fine.Real fine.From the pics everything appears to fit has it should.

Schrade Cut Co - In their old catalogs, it was not uncommon to see knives where both sabre and flat grinds were offered, as well as single blade configurations, for the same knife. The price lists show even more variations. This serpentine jack pattern was offered as early as 1926.

This is a 2943 3/4 Schrade Cut pattern, 294 if a Schrade Walden. The fact both blades are stamps indicates it is older, maybe even pre WWII, which would it into the Cut Co era, or early Schrade Walden. Very nice knife.

Thanks guys. Hal where do you go to see these catalogs? Do you have them, or
go on line somewhere? I have alot of books and can find many knives, but I don't
have the old Schrade catalogs. Can I buy reproductions?
