Can anyone tell me the year this knife was manufactured ? LB7 Bearpaw E61878. I am new at collecting knives. This is one of the first knives my father bought me in the local hardware store years ago.I remember he said shrade knives were the best. I have always bought shrade,uncle henry,old timer.Please if anybody can help me with the year on this knife I would greatly appreciate it . Thanks

Welcome to the forum, 20681978! For a moment I thought that was an old Marine Corps serial number, one numeral too many . The Schrade experts must be napping but when they get up they will ask you to post some pictures of your knife and they will be a great help.

Does the handles have 4 pins or 3, and does the tang stamp appear with or without the Uncle Henry script signature?

You might want to check out this thread that has been running for about 6 years. The answer you seek is not an easy one to determine.

It has 4 pins in the handle.It does not have uncle henry on the knife just schrade usa -lb7
