LB7 serial number E61878
Can anyone tell me the year this knife was manufactured ? LB7 Bearpaw E61878. I am new at collecting knives. This is one of the first knives my father bought me in the local hardware store years ago.I remember he said shrade knives were the best. I have always bought shrade, uncle henry, old timer. Please if anybody can help me with the year on this knife I would greatly appreciate it . Thanks

Welcome to the forum, 20681978! For a moment I thought that was an old Marine Corps serial number, one numeral too many
. The Schrade experts must be napping but when they get up they will ask you to post some pictures of your knife and they will be a great help.

Does the handles have 4 pins or 3, and does the tang stamp appear with or without the Uncle Henry script signature?

Welcome to AAPK. Glade to have you aboard. I too thought it was a S/N until I saw Treefarmer's post. (I'm not as good at counting digits as he is.
