Boy's Life

Boy's Life is a magazine that everyone who was a Boy Scout is familiar with. I don't know if it's still published or not. I picked up a bunch of pre WWII issues at the flea market last weekend and I liked the covers of these in particular. Some very interesting reading too. My how times have changed.

It is Tommy, if you click on it then click again you can read his name in the lower right hand corner. He did a lot of illustrations for the Boy Scouts. My Boy Scout handbook cover is by him.

I used to get it when in Scouts. I saw a more recent copy somewhere so I think they are still publishing it. I wish all Boys were associated with the Scouts - some good learning and teaching going on in the outdoors.

Those were before my time, but I was a subscriber from 1962 until 1972. My son got the magazine when he was a Scout from about 1989 until 1997. It had changed a lot in those years too. OH

I never made it past Tenderfoot but I loved Boys Life when I could get my hands on a copy. 1950s

I loved Boys Life!! I began my selling career then, ordering the SEEDS kit to sell.
What fond memories!!!

My Uncle Dick was on staff for many years at Boys Life. He was a
writer. I would guess he started in the1960's, and retired after a
long career. He has now passed. His name was Dick Pryce. He
loved to come back to Kansas and set lines. He would send us
stories that had a Kansas connection. WWII Vet Educated at KU.
