Limited Edition Trapper

This very nice Trapper made it's way into my "in tray", much to my delight. I only brought it because of the magnificent brass bolsters, timber scales, and my favorite.... hollow ground Trapper blades.
As nice as this Limited Edition knife is, i know nothing more about it. Is there anyone amongst all you knowledgeable knife men, that can shed some light on it's history.

All I know is that I have one it has stainless steel blades.Schrade made a lot of limited addition knives and did not keep good records.
Orvet might be able to answer your question and I will know when mine was made.

That might be a leftover from one of the Ducks Unlimited sets, but I'm not positive on that. Nice knife!

A number of these with the wood handles were done for the Ducks Unlimited line. Those that I have see were always in white oak though. There were a lot that came out on the market after the bankruptcy without the DU etching or shields. This looks like may a Federal Duck Stamp line. I think they used the darker wood on those when they made them.

Beautiful scales and bolsters though.
