If you can think of something to talk about that is not related to knives, discuss it here.

Very inspirational and amazing how the human body can adapt and the human spirit overcome such obsticles.

I was sitting in a small coffee/news shop in Helena, AL a few years ago when a lovely young woman walked in, no older than thirty at the most.

She had no arms, missing from the shoulder down.

She went to the counter, ordered her coffee and picked up a whole newspaper with her toes of the right foot. and tucked it under her chin. Put her clog back on her foot, walked over to a table and sat down, kicked off both clogs and raising her feet up level with her face, yook hold of the newspaper and commenced to reading it, holding it up before her just as we would do with our hands, turning the pages when necessary.

They brought her coffe, she put the paper down and added cream and sugar, again using her toes. The drank her coffee from a ceramic or stoneware cup with a standard handle, the same type cup from which I was drinking, again using just the toes of her right foot.

I sat there amazed, until I realized that I was probably staring. I took my coffee out to the patio, finished it up and left, a much humbled man.

I would starve to death before I could get limber enough to use my feet like that.
