Hello,
Welcome to the party.
Thanks for sharing. How about some individual close ups of those beauties.

Welcome to AAPK. Glad to have you aboard. That's a very nice display you have there. As everyone else has said, let's see those babies on parade with some individual pictures.

Top row , 7th knife from the left. Is that a R3556 ? Sweet group of knives there, most still have the original etching.

The theme of this collection is the handle materials 0-9. Hope to upgrade to examples with blade etch over time as I find them. Here is a 0 for Buffalo horn. It is a Remington R590.

Here is handle material 1. Listed in the book as red wood. Looks like maybe rosewood on these. The knife in the display case is an R31 and it is being bumped out by the R901 with the large spey blade.

Handle material 3 s jigged bone and the one in the display case is an R7463 serpentine pen. Sorry for the poor photo. It really is a nice knife.

I missed #2. Black. I have seen black composite and ebony wood. This 982 is black composite and may be a salesman sample?

Re: May I join the fun?
That`s the first Rem with Buffalo horn I have seen
It has to be the most scarce handle material they ever used

This R1477 represents the handle material #7. White. Can be bone, Pyremite, and Ivory. This one is Pyremite. I have never seen one with real Ivory?

I think some of the Remington totem pole knives were ivory.Remumc wrote:This R1477 represents the handle material #7. White. Can be bone, Pyremite, and Ivory. This one is Pyremite. I have never seen one with real Ivory?
