Big folding Colonial military knife, maybe?

I saw a big black handled, 2 bladed knife to day that had stamped on the main blade COLONIAL and PROVIDENCE, not on the tang but stamped parallel with the blade on the mark side. It had a saw on the other end and also a bail on the saw end. When I got to hold it the main blade had good snap. There was a bunch of what looked like kleenex under the kick of the saw and when I closed it, the saw went below the frame and you could not reach the nail nick. I assume the paper had at one time held the blade high enough to reach the nick in the closed position. Also, the scales were attached with slotted screws, I think . The old guy said it was very valuable and he would take $70 for it. Interested in it but not that interested. Does anyone know about this type of knife? Sorry no picture, the owner said it was a USMC knife because it had a bail, had it not had a bail, he said it would have been a Navy issue . Oh yeah, the thing was about 6 inches long.

I've seen them before on ebay and would like to have one. Seems the Colonial are the most popular and demand the most money. I think that they are called "pilot's survival knives". $70 is a reasonable price for one in really good condition.

Thanks TJ, your "pilots survival knife" did the job. I added "folding" to the search, there are several listed, one sold for $44, others $125 and there is one available for $360 . Also saw knives with and without the bail. I'll root around the internet and see what else come up!

Here is one I just picked up today.The blade was "tipped" but a little work with my trusty belt sander and my diamond hone and I have a nice workable knife.It showed little if any use except for the blade break.The cosmolene was still present on the saw blade.At a price of $11 I couldn't go too far wrong.

I bought one of these today on ebay, $22.85 including shipping. It appears to be a single blade (no saw blade) knife and no bale. Anybody know if Colonial made a single blade model (without the saw blade) or should I assume the saw blade has been broken off. Here's a very crappy seller's pic of the knife, will try to do better when it arrives.
