Most mornings I see these 2 Bucks in velvet wander around the front yard. They may eat a little of this and a little of that, but that's OK, fun to see them. BTW, these are in the city limits, smack dab in the middle of civilization in a town of nearly 200,000. These were taken Saturday 5/5/07.
These were taken through the kitchen window.
These are coastal Blacktail Deer.

Great pictures Hukk, its amazing how adaptive our wildlife is..I noticed that your deer are in line with our growing habits in my section of Florida. In my particular area all the deer are in velvet also with the rut starting in June/July...Of course the season does not start until November so no chance of bagging one...

Archery searson starts in my area of California ("A" Zone) July 8 this year. Rifle season starts August 12 and goest to the last Sunday in September. The rut starts in October most years. All other zones start later. Some as late as November, but there are about 30 different zones in Ca. Some are 2 deer and some are 1 deer. I know that A zone is just darn hot, and hard hunting. Never get to hunt the rut, but some years get to hunt the start of the rut.
