Hello everyone my name is Robert and I'm from Kansas just getting interested in pocket knives and learning a lot form all your post's thanks so much looking forward to even more. I got started with a little knife I found in an antique shop that was covered in grime it caught my eye because of the mother of pearl handle peeking out from under the dirt. I am having a real problem finding any info. on this little gem she's not much to look at but I like her anyway. It has A W Bradshaw & Sons on the tang also Germany any info would be greatly appreciated as she looks as though she has seen a lot of history maybe???

Greetings Robert,

Reference books have this company dated from 1856 to about 1900. Old knife there.

Welcome to AAPK. ::welcome::

Glad to have you join us.

I'm far from qualified to appraise vintage cutlery but I'd venture this; you made out like a bandit on that purchase. Congratulations!

wow went to what I thought was an estate sale and it turned out to be an auction there were quite a few nice old case knives and some old remingtons as well as a handful of other stuff all pretty nice with that being said boy do people get competitive on bidding and I got treated like the new kid on the block got mostly the cold shoulder, I'm no expert by any stretch of the word but I do think those fellas just wasn't going to let me get anything to bad for them I grew up around auctions so they paid quite a bit more than they would have if they had played nice, if I can't have it you'll just have to pay more for it than you thought you should. bid em up still had a good time boy those old case knives bring some real money watched an elephant toe bring just over 400.00 dollars I'm gonna need a second job to compete with that . good clean fun I think I'm doomed with the bug . came home empty handed and a full belly of bbq can,t beat Kansas city for the bbq wonder if I should be posting in a different spot if so somebody let me know
