A FEW KABAR KNIVES FOUND

The KA-BAR brand originated as a trademark of the Tidioute Cutlery Company. Tidioute was later taken over & renamed the Union Cutlery Company which continued making the brand until Union eventually adopted it as the company name in 1952. Cutco Corporation later acquired the company in 1996.

Thanks Joe! Love these old knives. Built very solid with great metals and materials all around.

My lone Kabar/Union example. A loom fixer, similar to a Case 17 pattern.
Black plastic is hard to photograph. It is edc'd regular ::nod::

That's a nice little pile there Squirrel. Do you still call the bottom one a Loom Fixer (or Half-Hawk) even though it's a single blade? Inquiring minds want to know.

Dang Jerry! I collect Remingtons! I like the older Kabar and Camillus knives and these were such a great buy I could not go wrong. I know very little about them but the one thing I know is I like what I see and to me they are sweet! Any info from the gang would be a welcomed education and greatly appreciated. ::tu:: ::nod::

Typical "loom fixers" have a pen secondary and no bail. Not sure how I would classify
Squirrel's knife ::shrug:: Half-dog leg-sheepfoot-electrician?? :)

No doubt, I would put it in my pocket ::nod:: ::nod::
Don't suppose it's for sale?? :mrgreen:

Aye Royal. It is a nice one. Maybe we should just call it a "Squirrel" knife.

Jerry...Royal...Here's a better look. It has snappin' turtle walk and talk and same goes for the solid half stop. I think it an original KABAR U.S.A. I don't believe it's a re-worked knife.??? But I don't know a blame thing about these KABAR knives!
